Hawk Hill was the first piece of land to become part of the Ozarks Land Trust (thanks to Ella Alford) in the mid- 1980’s. They are in the Bryant Creek Watershed, in Douglas County, Missouri, which was once Osage and Shawnee lands. Hawk Hill residents are Susan Wiseheart, Denslow Brown, Cindy Perry, Jan Von Schuyver, and Amber Johnson. Some of the residents have lived at Hawk Hill for 35 years now. They also honor their now deceased residents Cindy Hansen, Pat Patton, Linda Smith and Lorraine Keller.
They honor Mary Rowland, Denise Vaughn and Terri Bussey, who once lived at Hawk Hill as members, as well as all of the ones who have rented spaces over the decades and everyone in the community who has supported Hawk Hill since the 1980s.
