First colored by youngsters who are now well into adulthood, our classic Ozark Seasons poster was originally published in 1984. The 18×24-inch art poster serves as a calendar that never goes out of date, with 12 wedges that represent approximately one month, each showing Ozark natural events for that time of year.
To preserve this timeless artwork, we recently digitized, updated and reprinted it. At first glance, the new poster looks like the old one, but it has more and better seasonal information. Biologists with the Mo. Dept. of Conservation provided scientific input on bloom times, hibernation, and other natural cycles.
After reprinting, we sponsored a coloring contest, then reproduced the top two color posters. Now you can either enjoy a winning color version or get the black & white version and color it yourself! The poster replicas shown online are low-resolution versions of the colored poster, to give you an idea of how the color looks. The actual poster is very high resolution and crisp, with clean color.
All sales benefit the Ozarks Resource Center, an environmentally focused not-for-profit.
