The nationally accredited Ozark Land Trust celebrated its 40th Anniversary in 2024, and is still going strong. OLT protects over 32,000 acres of lands across the Ozark bioregion, including forests, working lands, watersheds, scenic views, prairies, springs and more.
Land trusts are nonprofit organizations dedicated to working with landowners, agencies and other nonprofits to protect lands in perpetuity through methods that include conservation easements and owned nature preserves. Land trusts also engage in conservation practices to retain and restore natural resources, habitats and beautiful lands for the future.
This year, long-time Executive Director Larry Levin is turning the reins over to new Executive Director Diana Sheridan. Our thanks to Larry and welcome to Diana!
OLT is a non-profit conservation land trust with tax-exempt status pursuant to section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. Donations to OLT are tax deductible. OLT was founded in 1984 and is operated by a volunteer board of directors that oversees the activities of the organization and directs its staff. OLT is a member of the Missouri Land Trust Coalition, an association of both land trusts and their supportive and partner organizations dedicated to conservation across the state.
