Benefits of Co-Sponsorship

Co-sponsors help OACC meet new challenges

Co-sponsors play an important role in creating the yearly OACC gathering. We are grateful for the care and support for a lifestyle aligned with our Ozark bioregion. We hope you’ll join us.

OACC continues to evolve through the participation and energy of the people who gather here. We look forward to another year of conversation, skill-sharing, and relationship-building. This year also carries special significance. In September, a delegation from OACC will attend the 11th Turtle Island Bioregional Congress (TIBC 11), the first continental gathering of its kind in many years. As the first and longest-running bioregional congress in the world, OACC is regarded as an elder gathering within this tradition. Members of our delegation will return with new ideas and inspiration to share at OACC a few weeks later.
In response to rising camp costs, last year our planning group undertook an experiment in community-supported registration. Rather than setting a fixed fee, we asked participants to “pay what you can, but please consider our costs.” We were deeply encouraged by the response. We were able to fully cover expenses for the event while also strengthening future OACC gatherings.
Because of that success, we have decided to continue this ‘pay what you can’ approach for OACC 47. We remain committed to keeping the gathering accessible while meeting rising costs. Desipite their fee increases, Hammond Mill Camp continues to offer an excellent balance of affordability, beauty, and functionality. We anticipate that our costs this year will be an average of $80 per participant overall.
Over the years, our cosponsors have been remarkably loyal, and we remain deeply grateful for your support. Co-sponsorship this year will remain at $160, and additional contributions are always welcome for those who feel moved to help strengthen the gathering’s long-term stability and accessibility.
OACC is organized and run by volunteers. We are heartened by the energy gathering around OACC this year, as a strong group of coordinators and volunteers has stepped forward with renewed commitment and care. Their work helps sustain both the gathering and a tradition now entering its 47th year.
OACC is not a money-making event for any individual or organization, and we remain committed to keeping our suggested registration fees as low as possible.
Co-Sponsors are the key to us being able to offer this "pay what you can" model for the event, covering the gap between the event cost and the amount raised by registrations. Please join the forward-thinking group of OACC co-sponsors and help us keep our registration rates affordable, by becoming one.

What are Co-Sponsors?

Co-Sponsors are individuals, groups, and businesses who support our efforts to realize an ecologically sustainable bioregional economy. Co-sponsors provide a financial foundation for OACC's continuity.

Being a Co-Sponsor means making a $160 contribution. In appreciation you will receive:

  • 2 adult admissions for this year’s OACC & exhibit space at the event
  • Recognition in the high-quality 3-color printed brochure which is widely distributed to people and places who value ecologically-sound lifestyles. (To be included in the printed brochure, we must receive your reply BY AUGUST 5)
  • Recognition on all of our online social media as a Co-Sponsor, including your own dedicated page on our website; thank-you posts on our highly visited Facebook page; and listings in OACC email updates between now and the event
  • Recognition  at the yearly OACC gathering

All of this gives you and your business or organization wide exposure and recognition.

You can apply for and pay for co-sponsorships

Co-Sponsorship applications are accepted at any time. However, to be included in the printed invitations, we must receive it by our annual deadline, which this year is July 30. Fortunately, if you miss that date, you will still be listed on the website and in email updates between now and OACC as soon as we receive your co-sponsorship. Please feel free to contact us with questions by email at Oaccleaf@gmail.com
